The Presenter: Steven T. Duke, Ph.D., is the author of Preparing to Study Abroad: Learning to Cross Cultures (Stylus, 2014), a brief text designed to help students learn about cross-cultural learning while studying abroad. He has held positions in study abroad and international education at the University of Nebraska, Wake Forest University, Virginia Tech, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Brigham Young University, and Indiana University. At Wake Forest, he oversaw and taught three Cross-Cultural Engagement courses for study abroad students to help them improve their cross-cultural skills and awareness before, during and after their international experience.
